I Shifted!

My Personal Shift
For most of my life, I believed it was my responsibility to hold everything together—my home, my children, and even the people around me.
I carried a lot.
And the truth is… no one asked me to.
Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that if I didn’t do it, it wouldn’t get done. That belief showed up everywhere—at home, in church, and in my community.
But recently, something shifted.
I feel gratitude.
I feel peace.
I feel lighter.
And it came from letting go.
What I Had to Release
I had to release the need to control everything.
I had to stop believing I was responsible for fixing everyone’s problems.
I had to learn to ask for help—and accept it.
Because when you don’t ask for help, you train people to believe you don’t need it.
I also had to release urgency.
Everything is not urgent.
The house is not on fire.
Some things can wait. And in the waiting, clarity comes.
What Changed
The biggest shift was learning to trust God over my own understanding.
Letting go is humbling—but it’s also freeing.
Because I no longer have to carry what was never mine to carry.
Now, I’m stepping into a new purpose—not the one I planned, but the one God has for me.
And with that comes peace, clarity, and deep gratitude.
