Control Your Shift

I’ve been shifting my entire life—I just didn’t realize it.
Now, I choose how I shift.
Over the past two months, I’ve been archiving my photo collection—pictures of my children when they were young, my marriages, and my career. What I saw was more than memories. It was a clear picture of every version of myself I’ve ever been.
I learned how to become who I was expected to be
—
a good mother,
a good wife,
a successful career woman.
I showed up. I did what needed to be done. I carried a lot.
But somewhere along the way… I lost myself.
I also found photos from 36 years of working in my corporate career. I had to become so much more than who I truly was in order to succeed. There was sacrifice. There was pressure. And there were moments when I didn’t even recognize myself.
I see it clearly now—my identities were tied to my roles:
Wife.
Mother.
Career woman.
And after years of living in those roles, I realized something important…
Those roles were never meant to define me.
This journey I am on now has been one of the most rewarding seasons of my life. I laid those roles down.
And in doing so, I found myself again—my joy, my passion, and my purpose.
Today, I am a woman who chooses love and joy for myself first.
I no longer give out of obligation.I give from a place of abundance.
And that shift has changed everything.
Many women spend decades taking care of everyone else—being the strong one, the dependable one, the one everyone counts on.
And then one day, they pause and ask…
“What about me?”
Have you spent your life taking care of others? Being the caregiver, the problem solver, the one who always shows up?
Now it’s your turn.
Your shift won’t happen by accident—it happens with intention.
If you are ready to rediscover who you are and design what’s next for your life, I invite you to take the first step.
